During the meeting we discussed the options available for 2010 and 2011 birth years, which include

  • Play in the Academy program
  • Accept an invitation to join the Nike Academy program
  • Play recreational soccer

U9 & U10 Academy Program

The Academy Program is available to all interested players with 2010 & 2011 birthdates.  Participants in this program are almost entirely playing within their birth year.  In some cases there are options to play grade level, these are taken on a case by case basis.  All players are trained by Colorado United professional staff and includes goalkeeper training. The Academy Program is designed for the enthusiastic player, who is passionate about the game, committed to improving, and ambitious to compete at a more challenging level. It offers a more educational, structured environment to better develop an understanding of the game from a team and personal aspect and improve each player’s fundamental technical skills. This is typically our most participated program at these ages.  Teams are coached by volunteer coaches

U9 & U10 Nike Academy

The Nike Academy program is our advanced offering at U9 & U10 and is available to 2010 and 2011 birth years.  This program is designed to meet the needs of the above average player who is interested in taking their game to the next level.  Teams are formed by like ability and currently play in the Colorado Soccer Association’s (CSA) Front Range league.  Teams are coached by staff coaches.

The Nike Academy program is directed by Barry Mantle, Littleton Soccer Club/Colorado United Recreational Director of Coaching.  .
